Ademco Lynx, A Snap To Install

After studying the market a bit, Ademco Lynx was an easy choice for me. It was inexpensive but I also because of the easy installation. Not being much of a handyman, I was worried that I’d have to pay big bucks to have a professional come over to install my new system. The DIY store where I bought it had told me that other security systems were NOT user friendly, their hardware wasn’t as good nor were their programming mechanics. In comparison, he told me that the Ademco Lynx was very easy to install and is easy to use, and that I could do it myself. I liked that but was still a bit anxious about doing it. My first purchase was the starter kit which was good enough for our small apartment. It pleased me immensely that I was capable of installing it myself. It was as simple as the guy at the store had promised. I couldn’t have been prouder.
Now, thinking back about my purchase, I particularly like the incorporated control panel with its keypad, a TM module, a receiver and siren. Some friends have other brands and when I hear them telling me about the installation nightmare and other details I am thankful that decision on buying the Ademco Lynx was right for me.

There is only one downside to my wireless unit: I have it hidden in a closet in case someone breaks in they won’t be able to find it easily and turn the siren off. Last year when my family and I went on holiday, a teenage kid from the neighborhood knew that we weren’t home and broke in through the kitchen window. Lucky for us the siren scared him away and I was about to reset the system by remote control. Wonderful!
Just recently I was reading that I can now upgrade my system to a Honeywell LYNXR-I Wireless Security System. It has great features: a family message center with playback, it has the ability to call any telephone and leave a message in a clear voice, remote phone control, built-in speakerphone and even it even schedules events and gives reminders. We’ll be moving into a larger house next year, and when we do I will definitely get the new Honeywell LYNXR-I. Meanwhile, I am very pleased with my Ademco Lynx .
